The main objective is to provide the student with knowledge about the planning and management of tourism routes.

Learning Goals

The main objective is to provide the student with knowledge about the planning and management of tourism routes. At the end of the semester the student has the following skills: Recognize the importance of implementing routes for the recovery and enhancement of tourism at local, regional, local and international; Identify and apply the most appropriate methodology to design a route (depending on its type), taking into account the principles of sustainable development of the destination; Manage and enhance a project in different organizational and territorial contexts, such as in animation companies, travel agencies, municipalities, associations for development or other organizations to promote cultural or nature resources, and also in international cooperation projects.

Teaching Methods

The subjects to be taught will be transmitted using both expository (for the transmission of essential knowledge) and active methods, encouraging reflection and problem solving, dialogue and debate, so that students develop the ability to assimilate the contents more autonomously and participatory. The reflections and debates are based on an integrative and cumulative view of all the subjects covered during the classes. Practical exercises will be carried out for an adequate understanding of some of the most technical content. The Student is encouraged to identify and explore complementary sources of information. With the collaboration of professionals in the sector, participation in field visits and / or seminars is foreseen to interpret different realities and consolidate the knowledge learned in the classroom. Continuous assessment: 1 individual exam (60%) and 1 practical assignment (40%). Assessment in exams: 1 individual exam (100%).
