With the Event Planning and Tourist Entertainment I subject, the aim is to provide students with theoretical-practical knowledge about the importance of events and tourist entertainment for the greater development of tourism in countries, regions or localities. The discipline has the following specific objectives:
· Understand the phenomenon of events and entertainment, as well as their contribution to the development of territories and appreciation of heritage;
· Provide methodological tools for planning and organizing tourist events and entertainment
· Provide tools for good promotion of events and tourist entertainment programs and activities
· Provide tools for capturing and creating national, regional and international events.
· Know and effectively articulate animation techniques
· Understand the phenomenon of events and entertainment, as well as their contribution to the development of territories and appreciation of heritage;
· Provide methodological tools for planning and organizing tourist events and entertainment
· Provide tools for good promotion of events and tourist entertainment programs and activities

Teaching Methods
In order to achieve the objectives, teaching methodologies will be based on theoretical-practical classes, not only using the expository and explanation method to transmit essential knowledge, but also encouraging dialogue, debate and reflection. Practical exercises will be carried out on different themes related to events and entertainment. Digital work platforms will be used (moodle, social networks, etc.) Technical-scientific visits will be made to events and animation companies. Students put into practice a scientific event (Pre-event, Event and Post-Event) and the planning and execution of tourist entertainment. To articulate the connection between theory and practice, some experts linked to the area of events and animation will be invited to give lectures.
Assessment
Continuous assessment: Frequency 40%; Event Project 25%; Animation Project 20%; Exercises in classes 15%. Note: Minimum frequency grade: 8 points. b)Normal exam: 1 Exam 70%; Event Project 15%; Animation Project 15% c) Appeal Exam: 1 Exam 70%; Event Project 15%; Animation Project 15%.
