The CPIES – Preparation Course for Admission to Higher Education aims at consolidating pre-university programme contents, with a view to taking the specific exams to enter higher education. The duration of the course is of one academic year (8 modules/semestre) and it covers a broad range of fields of knowledge, enabling candidates to choose which specific Curricular units (UC) to attend in order to take the entrance exams of the course for which they wish to apply, in any higher education establishment.
Final year high-school students who wish to enter higher education in the following academic year, especially in courses for which at least one of the subjects – Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, Biology and Geology, Economics, Descriptive Geometry – is required as specific exam or is part of the basic training subjects;
Students who have completed Year 12 , did not enter higher education, and are cut out for Exact Sciences and/or Engineering Sciences or Social Sciences;
Over 23 years of age who wish to enter higher education through the special entrance route for over 23;
Vocational training students who wish to enter higher education;
International students who wish to apply for the international student entrance exam and improve their Portuguese language skills.
Students who wish to take some standalone modules .
