Sustainable Development Goals

Learning Goals

The purpose of this Curriculum Unit (UC) is to develop in students an integrated knowledge of the analysis
of the movement, through the concepts of Kinesiology and Biomechanics, to recognize and analyze, via
moving body human behavior, fundamental in Psychomotricity. After having followed the COURSE the
student should be able to develop the mastery and understanding of terminology, concepts of Kinesiology
and biomechanics, scientific facts, laws and theories associated with the study of the working of the
human body and its capacity to produce movement, develop in the student the ability of analysis,
interpretation and intervention in Kinesiology and biomechanics phenomena associated with the human
movement, the ability to use audiovisual media and information on the observation of movements
performed in specific contexts, the ability to question and to justify reasoned manner, with critical
capacity, and able to work as a group.

Contents

1. Conceptual Location and Basic Concepts
2. Techniques of measurement and quantification of the movement
3. Element of Kinesiology for movement Analysis
4. Kinematic element for analysis of motion
5. kinetics Element for analysis of motion
6. Neuro-mechanical Basis for analysis of the movement
7. study of Variability and Motor control in human movement

Teaching Methods

Classes take place throughout the third semester. In the classes are transmitted in different theoretical
concepts of the course, is also intending to develop knowledge of research methods in this specific area.
A percentage-based system will be used for final grade assignment –Two individual assignments (60%)
