Presentation

The curricular unit aims to provide students with the opportunity to reflect on the processes of producing scientific knowledge from their transfer to reality in the field of Educational Sciences.

1. To analyze real processes of design, elaboration, concretization and evaluation of research projects, in Educational Sciences, in which the production and transfer of knowledge have been processed;
2. To identify, in their respective personal and professional journeys, the vital episodes in which contact with research in Educational Sciences has occurred, both as researcher and as user of the research results.
3. To characterize educational projects, in formal and non-formal contexts, that have benefited from the transfer of knowledge produced by scientific research processes;
4. To evaluate the role of innovation and knowledge transfer in the area of Educational Sciences

Contents

1. Fundamental and applied research in Education Sciences and their role in the production and transfer of knowledge;
2. Transfer and use of research results in education in formal and non-formal education contexts;
3. Real cases in which (or) production and / or knowledge transfer in Education occurs;
4. Production and transfer of knowledge in Educational Sciences: the international and national contexts;
5. Role of the researcher in projects of production and application of knowledge in real contexts;

Teaching Methods

The methodology favors the active posture of the students, in the sense that they are the main participants in the sessions. Thus, the presence of a component of a self-biographical approach assumes an important role, since scientific, academic, professional or other experiences will be the pretext for the introduction of contents. The case studies, collected and presented by the students themselves, will be considered. Invitations to senior researchers and initiates and study visits to R & D units and / or institutions using scientific knowledge and technology in the area are considered. The evaluation will take place, in accordance with the provisions of paragraphs 3, 8, 13 of article 93 of the Academic Regulations of the University of Évora and will consider: (i) the quality of participation in the discussions (15%), and (ii) the production of written documents, following each of the sessions, which will be added, constituting a portfolio (85%).
