Learning Goals

OBJECTIVES:
• Provide the students with knowledge of Information Systems in an organizational perspective;
• Provide the students with research capabilities on Information Systems.
KILLS:
• Research the international and scientific databases.
• Scientific writer in the Organisational and Information Systems field.

Teaching Methods

There are foreseen 22 hours of classroom sessions, which combine the format of theoretical sessions, seminars or lectures given by expert speakers in the area, with the analysis and discussion of case studies on the subject of Information Systems.
The documentation supporting the lecturing of the course is available on the platform of e-learning of the University of Évora.

Assessment

The evaluation process in this course is based on two works:
(i) individual work, with a 40% weight, and consisting of a research paper critical review, searched in one of the associated journals of the special interest groups da Association for Information Systems;
(ii) a workgroup (2 or 3 elements), with 60% weight, in a chosen topic in the domain of the course, developing a relevant systematic literature review and writing a paper.
