Learning Goals
• To provide clinical knowledge by pediatric ages taking into account the contexts of emergency and intensive care.
• To train students in the immediate recognition and treatment of life threatening illnesses including medical, surgical, and psychiatric emergencies.
• To know how to improve care for children in critical health situations.
• To practice with students scenarios of simulation in pediatrics nursing care, examine to team training in pediatric emergencies, refining processes, setting up equipment or breaking bad news or communication scenarios.
• To act in a simulated context of advanced pediatric life support.

Teaching Methods
Teaching methodologies:
• Expository and stimulating students' participation, critical and reflexive thinking;
• Seminars;
• Discussion of reference articles and guidelines
• Group dynamics and practice simulation.
Evaluation
• Academic Group with individual presentation based on Case Studies, according one topic of the learning outcomes (90%) and individual participation at seminars (10%).
If evaluation by exam:
• Individual academic document according one topic of learning outcomes (100% of final grade).
The students whose final grade is equal to or greater than 9,5 will be approved.
• Expository and stimulating students' participation, critical and reflexive thinking;
• Seminars;
• Discussion of reference articles and guidelines
• Group dynamics and practice simulation.
Evaluation
