The Curricular Unit of Contemporary English Literature II suggests a new dimensioning of the contemporary literature, having as a starting point the reflections acquired during the first semester, bearing in mind the texts that have been written after the second World War and focusing on an approach which stresses the search that literature suggests, through the analysis of 4 different literary genres.

1. The post-modern condition in contemporary English literature. 2. Paradigms of emptiness: memory and identity as discourse 3. Silence as contemporary "voice".

Teaching Methods

Theoretical and practical seminars. The assessment will consist of one oral presentation and one written essay.
