Learning Goals

Taking into account the importance of the UC of International Relations Theory inserted in the framework of the degree and in the future preparation of the students in the dynamic study of the international reality, we intend that the students acquire the theoretical, methodological and practical scientific knowledge that is specific to International Relations and to its transdisciplinarity.

2. The object and method in International Relations
3. The main evolutionary stages of theories of international relations
4. The actors of international relations
5. Game decision and theory
6. The theory of power
7. Polemology
8. Cooperation: regionalism and integration
9. The crisis: a theoretical-conceptual approach

Teaching Methods

In the methodological framework four pedagogical models are used to consolidate the knowledge and to enhance the motivation of the students:
1. Theoretical exposition of matter;
2. Encourage sessions to discuss development issues;
3. Exploration of the matter through reading texts and documents;
4. Individual dedication of the student with the support, if necessary, of the teacher, regarding the study and consolidation of the subject.

In the evaluation, 1 written examination and 1 scientific research work are done in the form of a scientific article (5000 words).
