The theoretical component of the discipline will be taught in 2-hour classes, by teachers assigned to the discipline.
Classes will take place at Herdade da Mitra and on adjacent farms.
Each student must attend 21h of practical classes (8 weeks) for training procedures and presentation of cynical cases. In the remaining 5 weeks, on field trips, they must accompany the clinical service of large animals or field veterinarians duly registered with the University.
- Theoretical Assessment (60%) - final written exam
- Practical Assessment (40%) - participation in practical classes (attendance, knowledge, interest and completion of clinical forms - 50%) and oral presentation of a clinical case in one of the practical classes (50%)
Students who have the status not to attend practical classes must submit a written clinical case.
- Final grade = (practical classes x 0.5 + clinical case x 0.5) x 0.4 + theoretical evaluation x 0.6
