Know and critically analyze theories, models and concepts of Educational Psychology, namely concepts such as cognition, emotion, self-efficacy, motivation and anxiety.
Apply theories, models and concepts of Educational Psychology and Music Psychology to concrete situations of music/instrument teaching and learning.
Describe and critically analyze psychological phenomena underlying educational processes, in their personal, socio-cognitive, relational and contextual dimensions

Develop self-knowledge and emotion management skills, which enable personal development and deal with anxiety, emotional and cognitive problems related to musical performance.

Teaching Methods
Teaching methodologies:
Exposition of the syllabus, with analysis, discussion and reflection of practical situations in the educational relationship and critical reading of selected texts with discussion in the class. Training sessions to deal with anxiety and emotional and physiological problems arising from musical performance.
Evaluation:
Continuous assessment: individual work of critical analysis of texts related to Educational Psychology and Music Teaching (75%) + participation in anxiety management training sessions (25%).
Final assessment: written exam (50%) + individual work in the same way as continuous assessment (50%).
Attendance to classes is mandatory (minimum 75% attendance).
