Contents

1. Cultural dichotomies, discovery methods and interpretive perspectives

2. General framework of the Pre-Classic Societies.

3. Syncretism. The revolution Urban and ways of territorial unification in late
prehistoric periods

4. The emergence of cultural forms and materials and the process of civilization in
Mesopotamia and Egypt around the fourth millennium BC.

5. The structuring of complexity. The hierarchical, political and social systems in
Mesopotamia and ancient Egypt and the establishment of empires.

6. expressive formulations of narratives and ideologies monumentality directions.

7. Economics, routes and Navigations. The role of the Syrian Levantine areas after the
twelfth century BC, the extent of Mediterranean contacts.

8. Judaism: historical, cultural and religious foundations.

Teaching Methods

Teaching will be expositive with use of technological means, benefitting from the use of auxiliary technological means leading to contact with the arts favoring audiovisual means. Learning will have oriented monitoring and strategies leading the student to a status of active element both personal as collective. The regime will be face-to-face but foreseeing activities at a distance, with limits, such as possible remote assistance to lectures. Other activities will take place through visits (Museums, local galleries or organized trips to the courses).
The student will choose either the continuous evaluation regime, with individual written test and critical-descriptive work, either the exam. Parameters of calculation of the final grade in continuous evaluation: presence in (10%), access to platforms or other activities (10%), written test (40%), critical work (40%). It is possible to make a general contribution of these parameters to the grade in final examination evaluation (25%)
