Without neglecting rigor, this course will allow you to creatively apply historical knowledge and bring the student closer to the potential job market for a graduate in History.

Contents

1. History and the historian facing the challenge of the creative economy, intelligent specialization, open and citizen science and digital transformation. Fundamental concepts and notions, methodologies and frameworks.
2. Learning about projects for the application and dissemination of historical knowledge and discussing its scope.
3. How to conceive and implement a project of this nature, without forgetting the historical rigor and, if possible, using available technologies?
4. How to communicate results?

Teaching Methods

Initial lectures and then classes in seminar format. The student must have a research/action experience.
The evaluation will be mostly continuous. Each should design and present their project (20%), carry it out and make the final report (80%).
Examples:
1. Internship in spaces of:
- science production or management (research centers, research projects, laboratories);
- archives, libraries, museums;
- space for communication / dissemination of knowledge in History;
- Companies linked in any way to History or Heritage;
- Educational institution or cultural dynamization
- Associations or other national or local entities with interests in History.
2. Research project aimed at making history reach the general public.
3. Create a community archive in a specific thematic and/or geographic area.
There will be a final exam only for very exceptional cases.
