Grammar of thought for working with cultural heritage, fostering critical spirit to approach heritage in a transnational, comparative and global way. A set of active working proposals that will intersect throughout the 1st cycle.

Introduction resources for Cultural, material and immaterial Heritage, developing a critical spirit in the face of the symbolic power of C.H. I work with students for the organization of scientific work, organization of a work, oral presentation and public discussion. Sensitization for field work using social science methodologies, with identification and recording of resources in material, oral, digital supports. Recognize heritage concepts and strategies; intervention and planning, application to monuments and classified sites. Initiation to heritage processes using transdisciplinary CP research resources within the scope of C. Social/ C. Patrimonial. Understand the ethical and practical implications of political action in C.H. critical spirit about C.H, in European/extra-European contexts. Identify C.H. relationship with territory community construction of identity. Develop skills of autonomy, creativity and interdisciplinarity.

I. Heritage object, Cultural Heritage, Museums
1. Conceptualization of Cultural Heritage: trends, balances and visions. Use of government cultural heritage websites.
2. Objects and heritage sets - P. Material and P. Immaterial. Territory Community Identity
3. Heritage and territory.
II Academic work methodologies: written and oral scientific work, way to prepare students for research and the respective presentation. Initiation to academic work: how to prepare a scientific work with field research; oral presentation.
III - Research resources
1. Identification of different heritages and the hybridization of cultural heritage: from the local to the global
2. Documentary, digital, oral, ethnographic sources as resources for research
3. Research Strategies: micro research techniques.
IV Reflection on public policies for the preservation of cultural assets: history, logic, global and national scope.

Teaching Methods
Teaching methodology: interactive theoretical-practical classes, with content exposure, text debate, individually. and in a team, with presentation in time The didactic-scientific materials to be used in the classes will be made available on the university's e-learning platform: www.moodle.uevora.pt. At the beginning of the year, 1h/week will be indicated for tutorial support, in order to accompany the students specially to carry out the scheduled work.
Assessment
- Continuous assessment: 1 research team work (3-4 people), on a topic proposed by the students, validated and monitored by the teaching team (40%) with oral presentation (20%). Your preparation will be accompanied in tutorials and in time. 2. Production of two small individual essays or one frequency (40%)
