Acquire knowledge that enhances the capacity for designing and providing care in the community
Understand the organization of CSP integrated in the NHS
Understand the need, nature and scope of health promotion and education programs
Know the priority health programs
Acquire knowledge about nutrition and dietetics and its influence on the health/disease process throughout the life cycle
Knowing the PNV and central issues of vaccination
Develop capacity for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing consultation
Use the technical guidelines of the DGS in providing care in the community

Teaching Methods
Methodologies will be selected that encourage the acquisition of knowledge and skills by students, based on a research work, reflection, critical questioning and continuous analysis.
Individual and group work spaces will also be created, within each block of subjects, using guided reading techniques, classroom debates and bibliographic research. Laboratory practical classes will be scheduled in due time. The method used in these classes will be the simulation of the nursing consultation and the development of Health Education sessions.
The assessment regime includes continuous assessment and examination regime in accordance with the Academic Regulation of the University of Évora (RAUE).
For students who opt for the continuous assessment regime, two assessment moments are foreseen (Written test: 70%; Laboratory Practical classes assessment: 30%)
Students who do not obtain a grade equal to or greater than 9,5 points are subject to examination.
