This seminar aims to put the Master's students in contact with the various typologies of cultural heritage, the concepts of conservation, restoration and reuse of heritage as well as with different types of projects of cultural heritage. It will also analyze the different international, national and local institutions that deal with the cultural heritage.

2.The principal Chartres of Heritage and the evolution of the concept of cultural heritage
3. The institutions related with the cultural heritage: objectives and activities.
3.1- UNESCO and the classification of the World Heritage
3.2. The Council of Europe
3.3. ICOMOS
3.4. TICCIH-The International Committee for the Conservation of the Industrial Heritage
3.5. National and local institutions, public or private, dealing with the preservation and valorisation of cultural
heritage.
4. The contemporary debates about cultural heritage and the concepts of conservation, restoration and preservation of heritage.

Teaching Methods
Classroom sessions to present and discuss subjects of the Program.
Production of a paper related to one of the programs themes
Production of reports for each study visit (Module Cultural Landscape)
- The continuous assessment will consider the study visit reports (50%) and the paper (50%)
- Exam: 100% ( written test or oral test).
