Teaching Methods
Theoretical expositions/Presentation of topics for critical discussion.
Face-to-face sessions that provide for the debate based on proposals presented by the teachers and the analysis of documents of a different nature, previously provided.
Elaboration of works presented by the students and discussed in the sessions.
Fieldwork, mainly focused on the observation of English classes of the 3rd cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education, aiming at critical reflection on the design, implementation and reflection on concrete learning situations in a foreign language class.
Whenever possible, students will be invited to participate in seminars, conferences and other scientific events that can enrich the discussions within the curricular unit and contribute to the broader objective of mobilizing the knowledge built by research in the area of Language Education.
These methodological options seek alignment with the pedagogical model of the course.

Assessment
The assessment in this curricular unit naturally considers the assessment regime of the University of Évora, which is divided into a continuous assessment regime and a final assessment regime.
In the continuous assessment regime, one of the final products for evaluation consists of an individual work of critical analysis of the observed reality, starting from the field work carried out, mobilizing, in the foundation, the research carried out in the area. The other final product consists of carrying out a group work on one of the themes associated with the syllabus, including research and analysis of relevant scientific articles.
Individual work (IT) - 50%
Group work (TG) - 40%
Attendance and participation (AP) - 10%
[Final Classification= (5TI+4TG+AP)/10]
