Teaching Methods

The course contents are presented in a perspective of interpretation of the psychological perspectives of development and education, seeking a permanent articulation between the theoretical framework of psychology and teacher training. The classes will be developed around two main guidelines: a) Classes of theoretical nature: exposure of syllabus, looking for an active intervention of the students. b) Classes of theoretical and practical nature: the analysis, discussion and reflection of practical situations, relating the Educational Psychology with intervention in educational situations.
Particular emphasis will be given to the articulation between the syllabus contents and the investigation carried out in the field of Educational Psychology, promoting knowledge of scientific research and its application to educational situations.

Assessment

Continuous assessment consists of a written test on the contents (65% weight) and a group work to deepen a topic (35%), with presentation in class. The written test can be carried out outside the context of the classroom, the statement being previously delivered to the students and stipulating a period for the preparation of the answers. Continuous assessment implies mandatory attendance in 75% of classes.
The final assessment consists of a written test on the contents (50% weight) and an individual work on a topic (50%).
