Teaching Methods

Theoretical Classes - Expository methodology, dialogue encouraging the understanding of theory considering career development challenges. The aim is to promote the learning of relevant content, critical thinking, and the connection between theory and practice.

Practical Classes - Involve video visualization, simulated practice of assessment and intervention, analysis and conceptualization of career counseling cases. The goal is to bridge theory and practice, develop critical thinking regarding learned theory and practice, and promote problem-solving skills in counseling situations, as well as foster positive self-efficacy expectations for professional practice.

Open Classes (in-person/online) - Featuring national and international guests to facilitate the integration of theory and practice or the internationalization of training.

Autonomous Work Outside of Classes - Involves research, reading texts, and preparing content to present in class.

Assessment

Continuous Evaluation System

Involves taking a test and two practical assignments. The practical assignments involve a case study on career counseling and another involving the preparation of an Individual Transition Plan. The test is worth 40% and each assignment is worth 30% of the final grade.

Attendance may not be less than 75% of theoretical classes and 75% of practical classes. Class participation is a weighting factor in the final grade.

Final Evaluation System

Those who opt for the final evaluation take a written test with a theoretical and a practical part. The practical component of the exam will include the content of the assignments completed in the practical classes. Those who obtain a final grade equal to or higher than 10 (ten) points are considered to have passed.
