Sustainable Development Goals

Learning Goals

To acquire knowledge about the Rorschach Method in its different aspects, the application, scoring, data summarization and basic interpretation, according to the John E. Exner Rorschach Integrative System.
To acquire skills to use the Rorschach Method according to John E. Exner's Rorschach Integrative System.
It is assumed that knowledge of a specific projective method is the first step towards the possibility of using other methods that students may need to use in their future professional practice. It is also assumed that the knowledge and skills acquired in this course unit are introductory in nature, implying continuation in training with supervised practice.

Teaching Methods

The teacher will combine a lecture-based teaching methodology with practical activities, including video demonstrations on administration, response coding practice, obtaining a structural summary, and protocol coding and interpretation. The students will also present a small assignment on interpretation of the method.

Assessment

The continuous assessment system consists of several tasks:
The first task, individual, involves the mandatory reading of a brief text about the administration of the Rorschach and carries a weight of 5% of the final grade.
The second task, individual, involves performing an administration of the Rorschach method. The anonymized protocol must be submitted in writing to the teacher and carries a weight of 30% of the final grade.
The third task, individual, involves answering in to a set of questions related to the administration and coding of the method and carries a weight of 35% of the final grade.
The fourth task, individual or group, involves a presentation of a text related to one of the Rorschach interpretation clusters and carries a weight of 30% of the final grade.
The final assessment involves performing the same practical tasks previously described, which must be submitted/completed in writing on a date to be arranged with the teacher
