It addresses content in the scope of women's health / illness throughout the reproductive cycle and in the climacteric period, in order to enable them to take care of these women / family.

OBJECTIVES
• Acquire knowledge and skills to care for the woman, during the preconceptional, conceptional, puerperal and the Newborn phases, in health situation and health diversion.
• Acquire knowledge and skills to care for women in the climacteric and gynecological situation.
SKILLS
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the signs, symptoms and diagnostic criteria that define deviations from normal pregnancy, delivery, puerperium and climacteric and gynecological conditions.
• Know how to apply knowledge and ability to understand and solve problems in maternal-fetal care at risk and gynecological disease.
• Demonstrate the ability to integrate knowledge into pharmacological intervention measures to be applied during pregnancy, childbirth, puerperium, climacteric and gynecological disease.
• Be able to communicate knowledge and reasoning and make judgments in more complex situations;
• Have developed the skills that allow you to act autonomously in situations throughout the life cycle

Teaching Methods

The lecture includes a classical class, case-situation studies and Seminars. Critical reasoning and consequent personal and professional development are proposed. The individual and group tutorial orientation is applied for further development in the acquisition of knowledge and skills.
Continuous evaluation through two frequencies, resulting in the final grade of the average of the two classifications.
The normal and recourse examinations are carried out in accordance with the UÉ regulations.
