Learning Goals

-Conceptualizing development as a set of transformation processes that occur throughout the life cycle;
-In depth knowledge of developmental changes that occur throughout childhood, adolescence and adulthood, through reflection on the theories of development and contact with these different stages of the life cycle.
-To promote an understanding of human development throughout life that passes by the ability to describe, explain and intervene in fostering it;
-Relate the different developmental pathways to the factors that influence its construction and to the contexts that determine them;
-Conceptualizing the relationship between development and education, development and well-being and deepen the relevance of physical maturation and developmental processes in the motor;
-To promote in students a reflection on your own development process, enhancing the ability to think about themselves and others.

Teaching Methods

The syllabus will be addressed from a perspective of interpretation of developmental processes and intervention in
promoting development, seeking a permanent link between the theoretical framework and practice in educational settings.
• In the scheme of continuous evaluation, students must complete four written tests corresponding to four developmental
stages - childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age. Each race will have a weight of 1/4 of the final grade of the
course, so quoted between 0-5 points.
Examination Scheme:
• Students should make a written exam and an individual work. Obtaining any rating lower than 7.5 values involves not
passing the exam. For computation of the final note of the written exam will have a weight of 3/5 and the weight of an
individual work 2/5.
• Considered to have passed students with a final grade equal to or greater than 10 (ten).
