This course will promote the development of knowledge in matters related to the basic knowledge of production and use of the horse.
The horse riding will be seen in a special education manner, based on individual and collective sport performance to foster sports innovation.
Give the students the theoretical and practical skills since it is manipulation of the horses the only route to their knowledge and use.

Contents
Origin, domestication and evolution of the horse and other equines.
Objectives of speculation related to the ethnic studs equine.
Consideration of ethnic horses and diagnosis.
Zoognósia and functional anatomy of the horse.
Study locomotor and natural movements of horses.
Major equestrian activities.
Playing horses.
Nutrition and feeding of horses.
Equine health.
Prevention of locomotor disorders, digestive and respiratory.
Management of foals.
Economic aspects of equinicultura.
Accommodations, production structures and sports.
Breeders' associations and their functions.

Teaching Methods
The classes take place over a semester, twice a week. Each practice session will last two hours (one hundred and twenty minutes), and each theoretical session lasting one hour (sixty minutes).
EVALUATION:
60% mandatory participation in theoretical classes.
75% mandatory participation im theoretical-pratical classes.
Theoretical evaluation: It has a weight of 40% in the final grade.
- Two writing frequencies in that the student must obtain a minimum grade of 9.5 in each.
Practical evaluation: It has a 50% weight in final grade.
- Continuous assessment in which the student must obtain a minimum grade of 9.5.
Attendance and participation: Has a 10% weight in final grade.
