Summary

Development of an Integrated Sustainable Meat Production System, based on innovative processes, technologies and information systems to ensure the production of meat products:

  1. Healthier and with more significant differentiation and national and international competitive potential.
  2. With greater economic rigour and efficiency, sustainability and animal welfare.
  3. With greater added value, with more value for the company, the agricultural sector, and the Alentejo economy.
  4. That materialises the European Union's strategic initiative "From Pasture to Plate" for the transition to a sustainable and safe food system throughout the food chain, exploiting the opportunities of the Alentejo EREI, in the priority area "Food and Forest".  

Goals, activities and expected/achieved results

 

·       Criar Matéria Prima Diferenciada e de Qualidade Superior com mais Bem Estar Animal.  

 

·       Criar Produtos de Carne Diferenciados e de Qualidade Superior Saudáveis e Sustentáveis.

 

·       Desenvolver um de Sistema de Informação para Valorização Económica do Bem Estar Animal, Qualificação da Carne e Controlo de Gestão dos Processos de Criação e Produção de Carne.

 

·       Partilhar Inovação e Conhecimento em Práticas de Criação Sustentável com mais Bem-Estar Animal, e, Atrair Talento Qualificado.
