The discipline explores the psychomotor prerequisites necessary for learning and psychomotor assessment and praxis in cases of learning disabilities (reading, writing and calculating).

- Give an overview of the neuropsychological and pedagogical theoretical procedures underpinning human learning, its components in the following components: receptive, integrative, and expressive, Exploitation of the neuropsychological functional and dysfunctional processes, focusing on the multifaceted characterization of Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD);
- To develop some diagnostic situations and dynamic assessment of learning processes and psychomotor profile, in preschool and school-aged children, and aimed at exploring the formative clinical type, based on case studies;
- Develop practical of clinical intervention individualized and in group, in both educative and reeducative-therapeutic domains, in order to enrich cognitive, psycholinguistic, symbolic, and psychomotor potentials of cases.

Teaching Methods

Classes take place in the 2nd semester. In classes will be transmitted the different theoretical concepts of the CU, are also intending to develop knowledge in methods and techniques in intervention and in research in this specific area, particularly in psychomotor troubles in children with LD. Teaching methodologies include theoretical expositions made by the professor and students, through their autonomous research and reflection; session with practical examples for the experience and simulation; individual/group research work(s) that results in the dynamization of a psychomotor intervention session in the educational or reeducational-therapeutic domain with the class. Will be showed real cases connected with matters. The student assessment will be done through two processes: individual assignments and group assignments. A percentage-based system will be used for the final grade assignment. The final grade should be more than (≥ 9.5), or they can choose for a Final Exam (≥ 9.5).
