This UC continues the Rehabilitation Nursing Internship, it is intended that the student:
Evaluate functionality and diagnoses changes that determine activity limitations and disabilities,
Implement motor training programs, aiming at adapting to mobility limitations and maximizing autonomy/quality of life,
Diagnose, plan, execute and evaluate rehabilitation nursing interventions for people with cardiac and respiratory problems, with neurological problems and with traumatic, orthopedic and orthopedic problems,
Empower the person for the reintegration and exercise of citizenship,
Develops training programs for ADL's and the use of technical aids,
Manage care and projects, optimizing the response of the nursing team and its collaborators and the articulation in the multiprofessional team,
Produces data that demonstrate results that are sensitive to rehabilitation nursing care,
Describe and evaluate the design and implementation of the project,
Submit a report for public evidence.

Contents

The UC includes 160 hours for the Report.
The programmatic contents will be those necessary for the provision of nursing care in a clinical context, as well as those that are implicit in the process of critical analysis and systematization of the final report. They involve:
1- Skills for providing rehabilitation nursing care to people with orthopedic and / or ortho-traumatic diseases, in the acute, chronic and sequelae phases;
2- Skills for providing rehabilitation nursing care to people with neurological injuries of traumatic origin, in the acute, chronic and sequelae phases;
3- Skills for providing rehabilitation nursing care to people and groups at risk of developing changes in functionality;
4- Management skills and supervision of rehabilitation nursing care;
5- Skills for structuring and conducting the internship report;
6- Writing and scientific communication skills.

Teaching Methods

Clinical practice guided and supervised by nurses and teacher’s specialists in Rehabilitation Nursing. Includes group work sessions and tutorial guidance also for the Report.
The internship will be developed in Neurological Process (252 h) and Orthopedic and Rheumatologic Process (126 h). Contexts and minimum percentages of time: Hospital or Rehabilitation Center - 50%; Home or UCC or ECCI (RNCCI) - 20%; RNCCI (U. Convalescent, U. Medium Duration and Rehabilitation, U. Long Duration and Maintenance, U. Palliative Care) - 10%; Community / Schools / Groups - 10%; Home or Assisted Living - 10%; Areas of Pediatrics - 10%; Sports - 10%; Other context of the specialty validated by clinical supervisor - 10%.
Evaluation: Clinical Component: 50% (35% from teacher and clinical supervisor and 15% from student) + Report Component: 50%.
Minimum mark each component - 10 points. The evaluation of the report includes delivery, presentation, and public discussion.
