To train students in the immediate recognition and treatment of life threatening illnesses including medical, surgical, and psychiatric emergencies.
To know how to improve care for children in critical health situations.
To practice with students scenarios of simulation in pediatrics nursing care, examine to team training in pediatric emergencies, refining processes, setting up equipment or breaking bad news or communication scenarios.
To act in a simulated context of advanced pediatric life support.

Teaching Methods
Teaching methodologies:
Expository and stimulating students' participation, critical and reflexive thinking;
Seminars;
Discussion of reference articles and guidelines
Group dynamics and practice simulation.
Evaluation
Academic Group with individual presentation based on Case Studies, according one topic of the learning outcomes (90%) and individual participation at seminars (10%).
If evaluation by exam:
Individual academic document according one topic of learning outcomes (100% of final grade).
The students whose final grade is equal to or greater than 9,5 will be approved.
