1 - In depth knowledge of the pathophysiological changes of the musculoskeletal systems.
2- Understand the techniques of musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
3 - Know how to adapt the techniques of re-education and rehabilitation to children, the elderly, chronic situations and the different specific pathological situations, of the musculoskeletal nature.
4 - Be able to:
- Use valid and reliable assessment tools
- Diagnose problems / needs in the specific area;
- Plan rehabilitation nursing care;
- Perform specific rehabilitation nursing techniques;
- Evaluate the desired / obtained results.

Contents

1.Nursing diagnoses related to changes in musculoskeletal function: Diagnostic criteria/diagnostic activity
2.Rehabilitation of mobility and Nursing Interventions focused on client satisfaction, health promotion, and prevention of complications
3.Activities of daily living and technical assistance/support products
4.Nursing rehabilitation in the person subject to musculoskeletal surgery
5.Nursing rehabilitation in degenerative changes of the musculoskeletal system
6.Nursing rehabilitation in traumatic changes of the musculoskeletal system.

Teaching Methods

Intended that each student actively participate in the teaching-learning process, it is expected to develop the course, discussion of specific topics in small groups and extended through the orientation and implementation of group work.
The exhibition and discussion in will be made by the teacher or by the students based on research that will be performed in databases, according to the proposed themes. Is privileged in the classroom, interactive strategies, conducive to student participation and reflection.
Is intended that evaluation will be centred in a continuous skills assessment, conductive to a process that led to its development. Will be privileged group and individual works, where students can integrate research, aimed to find the best scientific evidence. This work will be discussed with the teacher. Evaluation - written paper, individual or group work (70% Written Work + 30% Presentation and Discussion). Exam - written individual work.
