Teaching Methods

This unit is organized in theoretical-practical lectures according with the scholar regulation of University of Évora.
A mixture of theoretical and practical lectures on the blackboard and with support of e-learning tools and visual aids.
The introductory concepts are given using real examples of different areas of applications to show the relevance of programmatic contents.
The exercises will focus on solving problem strategies to motivate students and to show the utility of sampling techniques.
Attendance, classroom participation and continued students’ assessments are encouraged. The evaluation is expected through implementation of one midterms (50%) and a project (50%). The student may opt for the exam evaluation (50%), and the project is mandatory for approval (50%).
