Learning Goals
General objectives: The classes aim to provide theoretical references and practices in Design, Visual Arts and Multimedia with a focus in the area of content-editing tools at an advanced level, and to explore empirical stimuli in the visual perception. It is also intent to develop the skills of analysis and critical sense, the control of software at the advanced level of practical exercises based on functional and aesthetic criteria. This will be achieved through the creation and assembly of bitmap images and vector constructed by the student and emulation of natural environments.
Specific Objectives: The aim is to enhance and develop the control of illustration, processing and photo retouching for photography, video and animation through digital editing tools. The student must be endowed with skills that enable him to respond on a professional advanced level to a brief using illustration and digital retouching and treatment ito the areas of Design, Visual Arts and Multimedia.

Teaching Methods
The methodology is based on a series of structured lessons and may resort to the research projects, conferences, seminars and workshops. The evaluation is continuous with intermediate assessments and, at the end of the semester, the final evaluation in a jury model.
EVALUATION
In the NORMAL SEASON assessment students may choose one of two schemes: Continuous or Final Assessment.
1. CONTINUOUS EVALUATION SCHEME
Evaluation Components:
a) Class participation: 20%;
b) Work developed during the period with the accompaniment of the teacher, which must be submitted, at least, to a periodic evaluation with public disclosure of the classifications: 40%;
c) Presentation and defense of the work developed during the classes, which occurs during the "Regular Season Evaluations": 40%.
2. FINAL EVALUATION SCHEME
a) Work developed during the period with the teacher's accompaniment: 40%;
b) Examination based on the contents taught: 60%.
