Learning Goals
		  		      Stimulate the recognition of techniques of representation by drawing and illustration as crucial for the development of exercises or design projects;
Develop the basic technical skills in design drawing;
Stimulate communication skills by design drawing;
Substantiate the development of drawings in a structured way, interpreting the process as a whole;

Contents
		  		      1. Introduction to drawing in representation of ideas in design projects;
2. Initiation to several ways of sketching;
3. Initiation to master drawing and illustration techniques suitable to the communication of ideas and to the development of design projects;
4. Presentation to seminars and examples of drawing and illustration techniques in design processes;
5. Stimulating practical experimentation in with tutorial support;
6. Support to the development of project exercises of another subjects, namely at the level of nuclear subjects of the design degree.

Teaching Methods
		  		      Practical works;
Experimentation in class;
Individual tutorial monitoring;
Development of specific tutorial exercises with progressiv complexity for evaluation;
In NORMAL SEASON students may choose between:
1. CONTINUOUS EVALUATION SCHEME
_Class participation: 20%;
_Work developed during the period with the accompaniment of the teacher, which must be submitted, at least, to a periodic evaluation with public disclosure of the classifications: 40%;
_Presentation and defense of the work developed during the classes, which occurs during the "Regular Season Evaluations": 40%.
2. FINAL EVALUATION SCHEME
_Work developed during the period with the teacher's accompaniment: 40%;
_Examination based on the contents taught: 60%.
