            	  Presentation
The UC aims to promote the deepening of previous knowledge and skills (initiated with Seminars [
] I), as well as the acquisition of new knowledge and skills informed by the state of the art in the areas related with Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices.

	  Sustainable Development Goals
Learning Goals
The UC aims to promote the deepening of pre-existing knowledge and skills in large areas of science/technology related to medicines (M) and medical devices (DM), as well as the acquisition of new knowledge and skills within the state of the art (rapidly evolving in recent years). Thus, upon completing this course, the student should be able to: i) identify the issues underlying the assessment and quality assurance of Ms and DMs; ii) identify alternative application areas for Ms and DMs; iii) Develop notions about Marketing and Distribution of Ms and DMs; iv) Understand how the processing and analysis of large amounts of data generated by the medical devices universe is performed; v) Understand the articulation of this theme within the NHS and with the individual patient (including access to innovation and the individual care plan), and; vi) understand, elaborate and develop a critical opinion on the aspects presented and put up for discussion.

Teaching Methods
In-person classes/lectures by professors and/or invited professors/researchers on current and emerging issues within the area, during which there will be a reflection based on articles from highly relevant specialty journals and audiovisual media, previously made available by each of the speakers using the Moodle platform.

	  Assessment
Continuous assessment will be carried out on the basis of a questionnaire with questions or an exposition that will be given after each session. The questions or topic will be provided after each session. The final mark will be the arithmetic mean of the 7 best assessments completed. The appeal assessment will be carried out through a written exam with questions and themes to be developed on the content of the sessions.
