Teaching Methods

The theoretical classes of the Organizational Assessment and Intervention course will use the expository method, including a structured presentation of the program contents and a discussion of theoretical assessment and intervention models. The practical classes will follow a method based on problem-solving. Case studies related to assessment and intervention will be discussed. Subsequently, and under supervision, the student will be required to prepare a proposal for assessment and intervention in a real organization, using the skills acquired in organizational assessment and intervention. After the task was prepared, the proposal was discussed in a large group.

Assessment

Continuous assessment:

-Task 1 (50%): Each group, composed of two to three students, will have to prepare an intervention proposal, deciding on the relevant assessment process, the adjusted intervention design, the evaluation of the intervention, and the communication of the intervention to different audiences. The report delivered by each working group will be discussed individually with each student who prepared it and with staff from the chosen organization whenever possible.
-Task 2 (50%): Written test focusing on all syllabus contents of the curricular unit.

It is a requirement for admission to the continuous assessment to present a minimum of five reflections relating to papers that report organizational interventions (or analysis of models, types, and intervention methods) discussed in class.

Final evaluation:
Written test focusing on all syllabus contents (100%).
