Presentation

This UC intends to develop a set of knowledge and skills in the field of psychological assessment that may be relevant in different clinical contexts of psychologists practice.

1- To know the objectives and the type of questions in clinical psychological assessment
2- To know different types of measures and characteristics of the psychological functioning to be evaluated in different populations and clinical contexts
3-To know the underlying theoretical foundations, the characteristics and how to use different types of measures for assessment in Clinical Psychology
4- To know the different topics that should be included in a clinical report of psychological assessment
5- To think on the importance of assessing several aspects of mental functioning, relevant to a global understanding of the psychological functioning of the individuals, and on the characteristics and methodologies of psychological assessment in clinical contexts
6- To know how to score several assessment measures
7- To know how to interpret several assessment measures
8- To develop competences of case conceptualization in psychological assessment
9- To develop inference clinical skills

IX- Writing psychological assessment reports in clinical contexts

Teaching Methods

Continuous evaluation:
Written test (35% of the final grade)
Study of a case as a group assignment (case conceptualization) (30% of the final grade)
Participation during the semester (in autonomous work and at classes) (35% of the final grade)
Final evaluation:
Written test (65% of the final grade)
Study of case as an individual assigment (conceptualization of case) (35% of the final grade)
