Contents

Research and development work leading to the elaboration of a scientific dissertation is expected. It should involve the analysis of new situations, the collection of pertinent information, the development and selection or design of approach methodologies and tools for solving the proposed problem, their resolution, the exercise of synthesis and drawing conclusions.
The contents result from the application of the knowledge and skills acquired in the theoretical component of the course, the respective clinical development and contributions to the public defense of interventions before a jury of experts.
As a didactic and pedagogical activity, fieldwork and tutorial guidance should allow a follow-up for the completion of the Scientific Nature Dissertation, clarifying theoretical and methodological aspects.
The final grade of the dissertation prepared by the student is subject to public presentation and discussion of the results achieved.

Teaching Methods

The teaching methodology uses proximity guidance and via e-learning. Methodologies that encourage the development of students are privileged, based on a work of reflection, critical questioning and continuous analysis, expressed in tutorial guidance by the teacher.
Simultaneously, this teaching-learning approach, close to orientation, is extended to group discussion, when necessary. To provide students with closer contact with different research concepts and methodologies, other professors or researchers will be invited to share their approach and experience in these fields of research methodologies in scheduled seminars.
The evaluation is carried out with the public discussion of the Dissertation before a jury appointed for the purpose, by the legally and statutorily competent body and follows what is established in the Academic Regulation of the University of Évora.
