Learning Goals

Help the student gain understanding of Chemistry and better prepare for the M23 test in Physics and Chimistry. Enable him to better study the Chemistry courses at University and enable contact with the universitary and scientific community.

1. Chemical elements; atomic masses and sizes; electronic energies in atoms. Periodic Table.
2. Properties and transformations of Matter: chemical bonding; chemical transformations.
3. Chemical equilibrium; qualitative properties of chemical reactions.
4. Chemical reactions in aqueous environment: acid-base reactions; oxi-redution reactions; equilibrium solubility.

Teaching Methods

4. help provided by the teacher in problem solving;
5. Moodle support.

Schedule: Two lectures per week.

The UC will have a final evaluation test. Only students who attended at least 70% of lectures may do the test. The final score will be expressed on a 0-20 scale.
