Sustainable Development Goals

Learning Goals

The overall objective of the module is to provide students with fundamental knowledge in drawing and design using as tool a software commonly used in the aeronautics industry.
Specific objectives:
- Understand the work philosophy using parametric drawing software;
- Know how to model solids and surfaces of low geometric complexity;
- Know how to assemble parts and to generate detailed drawings for production;
- Know the tools available to model sheet metal parts;
- Understand the finite element method;
- Know how to model by the finite element method simple structural components;

Contents

1 - CAD / DMU: solid modeling, surface modeling; assembly (applications using Catia, Part Design modules, Sheetmetal Design, Assembly Design, Generative Drafting and Generative and Shape Design). Modeling of aerodynamic surfaces and typical structural parts.
2 - CAE / FEM: fundamentals of the finite element method; structural analysis of aeronautical components. Module Catia V5- Analysis & Simulation.

Teaching Methods

- Transmission of knowledge in practical-laboratory classes with the modelling and simulation of parts.
Distributed evaluation with project.
