Sustainable Development Goals

Learning Goals

Literary Cartographies seeks to develop the reflection on the materiality of literature, paying attention on aspects that are not considered in hermeneutics with reference to, among others, the work of HU Gumbrecht. It is proposed to explore the historical and material contingencies of literature with emphasis on some of its iconic chronotopes.
Changing concepts of boundaries and divisions between art systems have profoundly affected the literature, often diluting the differences between different arts. Will interest the interaction between literature and arts in which the dominant category is the space as photography, painting, or performance.
It is expected that students develop their attention to these issues, contributing to a greater awareness of current vectors involving contemporary literature in its current materiality .as as well as its potential contaminations and hybridism.
