Sustainable Development Goals

Learning Goals

Know the nutritional value of feeds, the interest and restrictions of its use in different animal species. Acquire the fundamental theoretical bases for the feeding of different animal species, in order to ensure animal health and welfare prevent pathologies of metabolic origin, optimize production and guarantee the quality and safety of animal products. Learn techniques for formulating compound feeds and methodologies for preparing balanced diets. Formulate compound feeds and diets appropriate to the nutritional needs of the animals depending on the type and stage of production.

Teaching Methods

The teaching is based on the structured theoretical exposition of the syllabus and on practical classes of application of the theoretical concepts through the resolution of exercises of formulation of compound foods and balanced diets and the analysis of case studies.
Evaluation:
a) By frequency: two theoretical-practical written tests
b) Theoretical-practical exam.
