Sustainable Development Goals

Learning Goals

1. Conceptualize development as a process of transformation that occurs throughout the life cycle.
2. Understand human development processes in order to be able to describe and explain them
3. To know the developmental transformations that occur throughout adulthood and old age, through reflection on the theories of development and contact with these two stages of the life cycle.
4. To relate the different developmental trajectories with the factors that influence their construction and the contexts in which they occur.

Teaching Methods

In theoretical classes, the theoretical frameworks are presented, using questioning and critical discussion. It seeks to guide the autonomous study of students from the exploration of a set of questions raised in class. In the practical classes, more participatory methodologies are used, which promote the skills to investigate and think about different aspects of development.
CONTINUOUS EVALUATION. A group work on Development and well-being with two stages: a conceptual one (bibliographical exploration of the concept of well-being associated with development/collection through a questionnaire of representations of well-being in adulthood and old age) and a case study (adult or elderly interview) to characterize their development and well-being). (50%) Two written tests (50%).
EVALUATION BY EXAM. Written exam and individual work on Development and well-being in on these two stages of the life cycle (50%).

Assessment

CONTINUOUS EVALUATION REGIME (assumes minimum participation in 75% of classes taught)
It includes two assessment components, and students cannot have a grade lower than 9.5 in either component. COMPONENT 1 (50%) - written test. COMPONENT 2 (50%) - group work on development and well-being throughout adulthood, its presentation and discussion (75%) and participation in a program to promote skills and personal development for university students ( 25%). For students, with special regimes, who cannot attend classes and wish to integrate the continuous assessment regime, this component 2 becomes an individual work, within the theme of group work, without presentation in class. The classification of this work will be the final classification of component 2. EVALUATION FINAL EXAM Written evaluation test, composed of two parts, one of which is more practical in nature. This part of the written test can be replaced by the classification in component 2, of the continuous assessment
