Objectives:
To identify the claim area of the city and the geomorphological conditions of its implementation and
evolution. To study the social, political, mental, economic and cultural dynamics of the history of the city of
Evora, in a diachronic perspective. Manage a set of items that allow both the comparison of Evora with
other Portuguese, Hispanic or Mediterranean cities and the perception of differences between them.
To understand the main features that have defined its history: power, social groups and institutions. To
understand the peculiar dynamic of the relationship between urban and rural areas . To understand the
contribution of Évora to regional and national history.
