Obtain basic accounting notions and understand the financial statements of the cultural heritage
entities
Obtain some cost accounting concepts and cost centers
Know the main techniques of budgeting and management control
Understand the design of cultural heritage projects, the needs of planning and management and
cultural heritage projects
Know the main evaluation criteria of cultural heritage projects
Skills
When finishing the course students should be spayed to collect and interpret critically relevant
scientific information on the topics discussed.
Develop the ability to communicate scientific ideas and knowledge, in oral and written form,
organized in a coherent and logical way on this issue under the unit.

Teaching Methods
The unit is organized into lectures and tutorials according to the regulation school of the
University of Évora.
Although it is a course where the theoretical aspects have much relevance try to present
practical examples that allow a better understanding of matter. The sessions are supported by
PowerPoint presentations but with use of the table for more practical issues.
Several of supporting documentation will be available on Moodle (lessons,various texts,
PowerPoint presentations, websites, etc) .
