• Understand the principles in body mechanics applied to the context of care
• Understand the disorders of the health-disease process of the Elderly (geriatrics)

• Understanding nursing care for adults and the elderly with traumatic musculoskeletal injuries
Skills:
-Reveals knowledge and understanding about the health-disease situations of the medical field that affect adults and the elderly.
-Applies knowledge and understands simulated laboratory situations
-Makes judgments and makes decisions, with help, in the context of simulated practice.
- Communicates opinions and ideas about situations in the present situation using the nursing process methodology
- Reveals ability to self-learn through reading and text analysis.

Teaching Methods
The teaching methodologies seek to give guidance to the topics under consideration.
There will be spaces for individual and group reflection, within each thematic module, through the use of
group work techniques, guided reading, always being required to search the thematic databases to
integrate the latest scientific evidence on learning.
As the curricular unit has a laboratory practice component, teaching will have training sessions guided in simulated contexts.
Evaluation includes the grade of the practical component (having to be equal to or greater than 9.5 points)
corresponding to 25% of the weight in the final grade and a theoretical component that can result from a
test and a group work or only from one Written test, which must also have a grade of 9.5 or higher. In accordance with the Academic Regulation, students can choose the final evaluation method.
