Study of the Spanish Language at A2 level through the development of oral and written skills, with theoretical-practical sessions and student participation.

– Practical general revision of the contents learnt in the previous semester.
– The pretérito indefinido:ways,uses and iregularities.

– Contrast between pretérito indefinido and pretérito perfecto.
– Accentuation.
– The condicional simple: ways,uses and iregularities .
– The pretérito pluscuamperfecto: ways, uses and irregularities.
– The futuro perfecto: ways,uses and iregularities.

– Vocabular:
– Airport, buses and trains vocabular.
– In the ofice.
– Shopping
-Social relations vocabular.
– Contemporary film making and massmedia .

Spanish culture: main periods and authors.

Teaching Methods

According to the descriptors established for the level A2 in the CEFR, the methodology adopted wilfocuson the acquisition and developmen to foral and writen skils (production, reception and interaction), gramar practice and vocabular enhancement: direct exposure to authentic use of language (through videos, writentexts– newspapers, magazines, etc.–Internet,CD-ROM, amongothers); direct participation in communicative interaction; presentations, explanations, exercises/exploitation activities; translation (native language/foreign language/native language); individual, pair and groupworking; contribution to formal and informal discussions; guided study; autodidacticaly, byself-study.

Students may choose between two modes of assessment:
(1)Continuous assessment:
a. Writenquiz (35%);
b. Oralquiz (25%);
c. Assignments, throughout the semester, in and at home (40%);
(2) Exam:
a. Writen exam (60%);
b. Oral exam (40%).
