Learning Goals

At the end of this unit students should be able to:
(a) understand the importance of digital educational resources in the processes of teaching and learning;
(b) recognize the existence and analyze the different processes that constitute the "life cycle" of digital resources from the creation, organization, use and evaluation of these resources;
(c) understand the quality principles related to digital educational resources
(d) know and apply instruments, scales and criteria in the evaluation of digital educational resources
(e) know working models based on knowledge available in scientific and pedagogical framework for the use of digital educational resources in educational settings
(f) apply the acquired knowledge in educational projects involving the creation, evaluation and / or use of digital educational resource.

Contents

1. Digital educational resources: concepts, theories and models. The "lifecycle" of digital educational resources: to create, organize, distribute, use and evaluate.
2. Types of digital educational resources and trends in production and use: digital manuals, open educational resources, MOOCS, e-books, serious digital games, digital repositories and other content and resource platforms.

7. Production: tools of creation, edition and process of image, audio and video. Elaboration of storyboards.
8. Projects for the creation of digital educational resources.

Teaching Methods

To support knowledge construction in this course, active, interactive, and collaborative methodologies are chosen. In line with the pedagogical policy of UÉ, emphasis is placed on learner-centred teaching, the use of diverse tools (including the Moodle platform), the integration of teaching and research, and the inclusion of students in the assessment of their learning. Prioritizing a dialogical approach, students are expected to learn through work they develop autonomously, supported by the teacher and in interaction with peers. As a starting point for meaningful learning development, students will be challenged to develop DER (Digital Educational Resource) creation projects inspired by research projects in the field and, particularly, by R&D projects at UÉ (e.g., EU-GREEN).

Assessment

I. Continuous Assessment Regime
Assessment aims to demonstrate acquired theoretical and practical competencies, whether through study, analysis, and discussion of texts or the exploration and use of tools and applications in educational situations. The final grade will be determined based on the following components: P1) Elaboration of individual work, based on critical and grounded analysis of a DER (35% of the final grade); P2) Collaborative creation project of a DER (45% of the final grade); P3) Self-assessment of performance and work carried out throughout the course (20% of the final grade).

II. Final Assessment Regime
Assessment is based on the completion of a theoretical-practical evaluation test, including the elaboration and substantiation of a DER creation project. The grade obtained in the work performed will account for 100% of the final grade.
