Teaching Methods

Reflective, dialogical and cooperative practices are privileged, based on the confrontation between students' perceptions and representations about education and health, in the analysis of documents guiding practical cases, framed in a vision of education as a space for the formation of consciences. Emphasis is placed on simulation activities related to Inquiry Based Learning (BL), Project and Problem BL and Team BL. The development of soft skills is promoted: critical and creative thinking, time management, motivation, flexibility, ability to adapt to a multicultural environment. The articulation between teaching and research is done with the capitalization of the scientific production of the responsible teacher for analysis in class. Digital tools are used to promote learning, communication and flexibility. Assessment is viewed in a self-regulatory manner. Community intervention and technical training are promoted in some areas (e.g., BLS-AED).

Assessment

Continuous and final assessment: co-assessment of individual performance in classroom and/or group work contexts. a) written test, which assesses the acquisition of basic knowledge (knowledge and understanding) (40%); b) practical performance in basic life support – automatic external defibrillation (30%); c) structuring educational activities that promote health and/or planning a community intervention based on practical health education guides (30%).
