Sustainable Development Goals

Learning Goals

To know the major historical dynamics of an Islamic society existing in the Iberian Peninsula during the medieval period.
Following a multi-disciplinary approach, in seminar classes, involving data from History but also from Literature, Geography and Archaeology, is intended to use written sources of Arabic origin, and address, innovatively, topics about those centuries of Arab-Islamic presence in the Iberian Peninsula. It is intended to propose innovative studies on personalities, periods, regions, but also on social, economic, artistic, not to mention the thought of some of its most important figures. The parallels with other societies - from the Iberian Peninsula and the Islamic world - will be inevitable. Through this dynamic, it is intended to develop skills of critical and autonomous work.
