Learning Goals

The Microeconomics II course focus on the analysis of behaviour producer on markets of perfect and imperfect competition.
Transferable Skills:
The course intends to provide students with solid knowledge on microeconomics, with an appropriate understanding of the optimisation decisions, giving them the necessary skills to analyse and interpret critically microeconomic problems.

Teaching Methods

The lecturing of the different theoretical concepts is followed by the resolution of practical exercises previously supplied to the students, and by discussions directly related to the taught concepts.
The evaluation of this curricular unit respects the Academic Regulation and comprises two alternatives:
 Continuous assessment - 2 written tests, with equal weights for the final grade; a minimum grade of 7 in 20, on both tests is required.
 Assessment by examination – one written examination, accounting for 100% of the final grade.
According to section 2 of Article 87 of the aforementioned Regulation, students must attend at least 75% of classes in order to be allowed to complete continuous assessment or to take the exam on the first possible take.
