Learning Goals

The general learning objectives promote the development of knowledge, skills and instrumental skills to build a vision (distinctive) and strategy (singular) in communication design.
a. Being able to use the research to stimulate productive thinking in Communication Design;
b. Being able to spot trends and niche opportunities, competitive transnational scale;
c. Being able to turn opportunities into unique concepts of high significance and value;
d. Knowing how to define and to reverse, pragmatically, the communication design process to the success of an organization;
e. Knowing how to define and develop distinctive strategies in operative communication design for integrated projects;
f. Know and apply "viral" dissemination strategies, with a view to creating followers of communities;
g. Know how to select and use the most appropriate technologies to various media and environments to communicate and implement the project.

Contents

The knowledge, skills and competences developed at a high level of complexity and an impact on the awareness of detecting opportunities, define new concepts and capacity management integrated processes of communication design.
Syllabus oriented to subject(s) and project(s) to develop: 1. Business Strategy;
2. Global communication strategies;
3. Direction and Management of gesign and Communication Design; 4. Communication Design and innovation;
5. Case studies.

Teaching Methods

Are privileged the active methods to enhance the involvement, interest, analysis and critical capacity of students through participatory exhibition, discussion. The evaluation is continuous with intermediate assessments and, at the end of the semester, the final evaluation in a jury model.

EVALUATION

In the NORMAL SEASON assessment students may choose one of two schemes: Continuous or Final Assessment.

1. CONTINUOUS EVALUATION SCHEME

Evaluation Components:
a) Class participation: 20%;
b) Work developed during the period with the accompaniment of the teacher, which must be submitted, at least, to a periodic evaluation with public disclosure of the classifications: 40%;
c) Presentation and defense of the work developed during the classes, which occurs during the "Regular Season Evaluations": 40%.


2. FINAL EVALUATION SCHEME

a) Work developed during the period with the teacher's accompaniment: 40%;
b) Examination based on the contents taught: 60%.
