Teaching Methods
According to the pedagogical model, the aim is teaching centered on student learning and unified learning in the skills development. Thus, in this UC the student is provided with placement (internship 120h), in a host entity and support from a tutor accredited by the Federation of the respective sport. There is also a tutor from UÈvora who supports the entire process (15h T). The practical context promotes the need for students to deepen their knowledge, with activities focused on the development of teaching and training tasks.
On the other hand, this teaching methodology, having a very strong practical character, also allows articulation with the pedagogical model, both in terms of the relationship with society (students contact directly with local and national sports agents), and with the development of disciplinary and transversal skills, requiring skills such as problem solving, critical thinking and creativity.

Assessment
In accordance with the pedagogical model of the University of Évora, the practices of self-regulatory assessment of student learning aim to place assessment at the service of learning and should address both the assessment of knowledge acquisition and the development of skills. In this sense, the UC assessment, being different depending on the addressed sport, includes the following common points:
Regular intervention in the preparation and guidance tasks of teams and athletes (35%)
- Monthly reports that reveal the operationalization of all work carried out (20%)
- Training Dossier (15%)
- Final report (15%)
- Oral communication based on a theme specific to the modality (10%)
- Discussion of the final report with the responsible teacher, in an oral exam (5%)
We highlight the importance of continuous assessment, where the student has the opportunity to acquire and develop their professional skills in a phased manner.
